Self Portraits in the Great Outdoors

Title: A sitting antique
Here is a really cool picture of my brother Micah as he sets on one of my great grandpa's old tractors that has been sitting outdoors for ages.  This photo was really eye catching because it has so much character and meaning.  What once was a running and well maintained tractor is now an old, buried antique!  The moss growing on the hood and tires of the tractor truly do bring out its age and weathered look.  The surrounding small trees also show how long the tractor has been sitting, which really gives the photo a sense of history, which I find inspring.
Title: Hoping for a bite
Here is a picture of my brother Micah as he fishes on from the bridge by my house.  With a passion for the outdoors, Micah has always wanted to be a true angler, and I think that this photo fits him really well.  The clarity of the pavement as well as the water and background itself gave this photo a lot of unique characteristics that really brought the photo to life.
Title: Playing the game we love
Here is a picture of my teammate Jaiden and a few friends from back home as we faced off against one another this past weekend.  This photo shows a lot of character about who each and everyone of us is, as we have a true love and passion for the game of baseball.  By increasing the brightness, improving the clarity, and dehazing of the photo, I was able to to really make the coloring of the uniforms stand out amongst one another.  This gave the photo a sense of separation in a cool way.
Title: A walk in the woods
Depicted in this photo is a picture of my dog, Neco as he walks down one of our trails in the woods.  The early spring brightness of green grass really gives this photo an uplifting and warm feeling that brings happiness to the image itself.  The water in the background and its reflections of trees also add character, as it shows the type of area we were in.
Title: Taking the leap
Here is another photo of one of my other cousin's as he attempts to clear the jump at the farm.  This photo overall shows a lot about who my cousin is as an individual as well as what he truly enjoys doing.  Using different lighting elements, such as adjusting the exposure and highlights in the photo, really gave the image itself a sense of fakeness.  Although the photo is real, the picture itself, to me, gave off that fiction feeling in a way that I thought made this photo really stand out.
Title: Taking the jump
Here is a really cool action photo of one of my cousin's, as he was in mid air when this photo was taken.  The brightness, color, and clarity of this photo really make it eye catching to the viewers, in my opinion.  The cornfield as well as the house in the background also make the photo look as if my cousin was jumping those too, which I thought was interesting.
Title: Taking a ride through the woods
Here is a picture depicting me as I take a ride through the woods on one of our ATV's.  The green grasses and flowers in the foreground and background help to show the time of year, as it was early spring.  This photo overall really just shows what some of my hobbies are that I truly enjoy doing during my free time.  Being able to spend time outdoors whenever I can is also something that I've looked forward to!
Title: On the farm
Here in this photo, I am portrayed standing in front of one of my uncles tractors during the early spring days.  Using a black-and-white theme, I felt as if I was able to give this photo a sense of of an antique style theme from the older days.  Being centered in between the two tires also gives this photo a lot of character, as it shows the size difference between me and the tractor itself.  The other tractor and semi trailer also add a bit of uniqueness to the picture as well.
Title: Looking off
Here in this photo is a picture depicting myself looking off into the distance, as my brother Micah had previously done.  This photo personally was probably my favorite, as it is a short and simple photo showing who I am as a person.  Like my brothers, this photo shows that I personally enjoy the outdoors and taking in everything that it has to offer.  The scenery in this photo, which is primarily the wood shed, really shows its age and color within the wood.  I like this look as it gives off a lot of character and meaning to the photo itself.
Title: Sitting around the campfire
This photo of myself shows what I like to do as an individual.  Being able to spend time outdoors has always been something that has been a true passion of mine, and I think that this photo really captures that. From my clothing to the logs surrounding the fire, this scene really sets the tone of the photo itself.  The color contrast between the green grass and the dull colored trees also gives this photo life.
Title: Practicing with the bow
Here is a picture of my brother Micah shooting his crossbow, as he hopes that he can go on his first hunting trip with me next season!  Using a blurred out background as well as brightening the coloring within the photo, the bow and Micah really do stand out in a way that makes this photo pop.  The wood table that my brother rests' his bow on also shows a distressed and old look and feel in a way that also adds value to the picture.
Title: Glancing off into the distance
Here is a neat photo of my brother Nate as he glances off into our backyard as the sun slowly begins to set.  This photo shows a lot of neat character, from the way my brother is posing to all the tracks going through our yard and even to the tree line in the fading distance.  By improving the clarity and texture of the photo, I believe that I was truly able to caption what I was looking for.
Title: Taking a look down
Here is another photo of my brother posing while sitting on top of the old, versatile tractor.  I thought this photo specifically was really cool, as it shows a lot of paint distress from the tractor alone in this photo.  With Nate looking down as the camera, it gives this photo a sense of being proud of what he enjoys doing in a way which I thought was really cool.  Everything about this photo sums up who my brother is in a way that really describes him as a person!
Title: My brother and his tractor
Here is a photo of my brother Nate as he stands on top of one of my uncle's old tractors.  My brother has always been inspired by my uncle's and grandpa's desire to be a farmer, so this photo really suits him well!  Using highlights, clarity, and texture filters, I was able to really make this photo stand out, as the blue skies in the background as well as the yellow and rusted out paint on the tractor really give this photo a lot of cool character.
Title: Taking a ride on a backroad
Here is a cool picture of my youngest brother Micah, as he wanted to take a ride down the road with his newly bought mini bike.  This photo has a lot of meaning and character, as it shows what Micah's favorite hobbies are!  The blurred out cornfield and tree line in the background allow the photo to really focus on the bike and my brother himself.  The mud on the bike also shows where Micah typically enjoys riding his bike too!
Title: Playing the sport he loves
Here in this photo is a picture of my other brother,, Jonathan, as he looks at the basket before shooting a free throw.  This photo really captures the drive and passion that Jonathan has for the game of basketball.  Putting in the hard work consistently on a daily basis really shows his character and personality as an individual.  The background also gives this photo a neat scene, as the barn, trees, and wood shed can also be seen as being kind of blurred out.  This really allows the center of focus to be on Jonathan as he shoots the basket.
Title: Making the hard work pay off
Here in this photo is a picture of my brother Nate as he holds an axe a top of a pile of logs.  Using a different pose, my brother was able to communicate with the viewers in a similar but also different way, as this photo really captures his personality and work ethic behind doing what he enjoys doing.  Being able to help the family out whenever he can is something that he has always had a passion for! Using a more dull sense of lighting here, I believe that I was able to capture this look.
Title: Looking off into the distance with clarity
Here is a second photo of my youngest brother Micah posing from the same old wood shed as he looks curiously off into the distance.  Using a color themed background as well as applying certain filters to adjust and brighten the lighting, I was truly able to bring out more of a sense of meaning behind this photo.  The grains in the wood really pop, as it shows the age and distressed look up close!
Title: Looking off into the distance
Here is a photo depicting my youngest brother Micah as he decided to climb our old wood shed during the early spring days.  The grain of the course wood as well as the old distressed view of the wood itself really give a cool impression about the history behind the structure.  Using a black and white color theme, I was really able to bring out the age and meaning behind the photo itself, using my brother as the main character.
Title: A walk on a sunny day
With the sun shining in the background and the shadows of the trees overlapping the road, here is a picture of our dog Neco looking into the camera from a short distance while taking a walk on the side of the road on a nice sunny day.  Using filters, such as those that improve the clarity and texture of the photo, really allowed me to bring out the background and coloring within the photo itself!
